Lenovo wants to grab a slice of the budget tablet area while it’s hot and that’s why it has hit the FCC with a new slate for approval. It’s the Lenovo IdeaTab S6000 budget tablet with a 10 inch display and you can see the device below.

It could be coming to America pretty soon and this model was actually introduced back in February. It measures 0.34 inches in thickness, weighs around 1.2 pounds and has a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and a 178 degree viewing angle. Specs include a 1.2 GHz MediaTek MTK8389 quad core processor, a chip that has been used by quite a number of Chinese slate makers and phone makers.

Lenovo is also a Chinese company, so we were expecting a processor like this. The IdeaTab S600 doesn’t have a price just yet, but we suppose it’s going to be less than $300, for some reason. The company will also launch new 7 inch tablets soon, including an IdeaTab A1000 with a dual core chip and an IdeaTab A300 with a MediaTek quad core chip.
