Lenovo China has introduced two new laptops on the Chinese market, the Lenovo Air 2018 and Lenovo 7000 being sold exclusively on JD.com. These are pretty solid devices, packing Intel 8th gen processors and elegant bodies. Let’s see what the prices are.
Lenovo Air 2018 comes with an all metal body approach and it measures 16.8 mm in thickness. It weighs just 1.95 kilograms and packs a 15.6 inch display with Full HD resolution and tri bezel less design. It’s no Huawei MateBook X Pro, but it does have an impressive 82.7% screen to body ratio. Inside we find an 8th gen Intel processor and the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU.
Core i7 and Core i5 versions are on the table, plus 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of SSD storage. A fingerprint scanner is included, plus Harman Kardon acoustics and a 45 Whr battery with support for fast charge. An USB Type-C port is available here, but only for data transfer. There are two USB 3.0 ports here, an HDMI port and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Available in black, silver or gold, product is priced at $923 in the Core i5 version and $1114 in the Core i7 one.
Lenovo 7000 gets the same metal body and the same tri bezel approach, this time on a 14 inch Full HD diagonal and an 80.8% screen to body ratio.
