The end of June brings us a new set of leaks and rumors related to the upcoming iPads. Turns out that the 2022 iPad Pro models will swap the unibody aluminum body with a glass back, that allows wireless charging. We also learn more details about the iPad Mini 6, as well as a new budget iPad.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is prepping an iPad Pro with wireless charging and to achieve that it needs a glass back. iPad Pro 2022 is also ready to adopt a magnetic charge system, inspired by MagSafe from iPhone 12. On paper the following iPad Pro may drop in Spring 2022, perhaps even with an OLED panel in lieu of mini LED. The Thunderbolt port is here to stay, apparently.

The iPad Mini 6 will have narrower bezels, but it’s not very clear if it will drop the Home button with Touch ID or not. It could go the iPad Air way and integrate the sensor into a Power button at the top side. We’ve even heard some details about a mini-LED iPad Mini 6.

Then we also found some info about a 10.2 inch budget iPad for students, which can be either an iPad Air or a budget iPad. It will be tailor made for students and priced accordingly, that’s all we know.
