It’s pretty much clear that tomorrow evening we’ll be seeing the new iPad, with a Retina Display and apparently the name iPad HD, according to the latest info in the biz. The device’s cases already popped up online, in the offers of some of the hottest third party retailers.

Many other case makers are still waiting before putting out their products, so they won’t have to suffer the fate of the Chinese maker that last year put out thousands of 4 inch iPhone 5 cases … for nothing. The companies that did take a risk offer cases for the new tablet, like the one shown below, according to ITProPortal. A reliable source is saying that a major case maker is ready to deliver these accessories as soon as the slate’s launch date is revealed. Some of the cases I’ve heard about have settled with the iPad 3 name, while other retailers went with iPad 2S or iPad HD stickers.

The thing to know here is that the people who had fun with iPad 3 components and assembled a dummy of the tablet mention that the slate is compatible with last year’s Smart Cover, but not so much with third party cases, on account of being too thick. The Griffin Outfit iPad 3 Smoke case is the only iPad 3 case listing with an image attached to it, but no other info is included.
