Instagram has finally arrived on Windows 10, after a looong wait. We saw it released on Windows 10 Mobile devices back in April and now it’s the turn of larger units to get it. Windows 10 PCs and Windows 10 tablets will now have the app, which is available for download here, for free.
The app brings support for Live Tiles, letting the user see new photos and notifications straight from the homescreen. The app has all the famous core features, like Instagram Stories, Direct and Explore. It also lets you post and edit photos, plus share moments with everyone in the world. Keep in mind that posting and editing pics is only available on tablets and PCs with touchscreens and back facing cameras.
The Stories from people you follow will appear in a row at the top of the Feed, while the rich and native notifications are also here, so you don’t miss important updates. Instagram Direct is another useful feature, letting one exchange threaded messages with one or more people, plus share posts you see in the Feed as a message.
