On the IFA floor in Berlin ASUS updated its mighty Transformer Book product with a Haswell CPU. This is a 13.3 inch Windows 8 slate that can be used as a Windows 8 notebook, courtesy of a detachable keyboard.
The first Transformer Book came to life last year and it had an Intel Ivy Bridge CPU at its core. Now we’re switching to the new Haswell generation. The new ASUS Transformer Book T300 will come with an Intel Core i5, i7 or i3 and pack Intel HD 5000 series graphics. There’s also a bump in RAM, from 4 to 8 GB and SSD availability ranges between 64 GB and 256 GB.
Specs also include a 13.3 inch 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS panel, WiFi, Bluetooth, an USB 3.0 port, micro HDMI and a microSD card slot. ASUS promised 8 hours of battery life from this bundle of joy, with tablet and keyboard included. It all comes down the scale at a total of 4.2 pounds. Expect a video demo soon enough!
