Indian company iBall just debuted a new 360 degree convertible in its local market, the iBall CompBook i360 model being priced at $190. This slate is powered by an Intel quad core CPU clocked at 1.83 GHz, together with 2 GB of RAM.
It uses a special type of hinge, of the RDS3T kind, with a double spindle 360 degree technology. This triggers 4 usage modes, like Laptop, Tablet, Stand and Tent. Upfront we find a 11.6 inch HD touchscreen and touchpad with multi touch functionality. Up to 7 hours of video playback are offered here, courtesy of a 10.000 mAh Li-Po battery.
On the connectivity front there’s WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, mini HDMI and one USB 2.0 port, plus one USB 3.0 port. Of course, there’s Windows 10 as the OS here and the only color choice seems to be soft gold. Availability starts this week on Indian retailers, at the above mentioned price. Hopefully we also get a sufficient amount of storage.
