We knew that Huawei was still preparing a tablet or two for this year, taking advantage of the fact it recently surpassed Samsung to become the second placed tablet maker in top 5, following Apple. Turns out that the Huawei MediaPad M6 just leaked, courtesy of Jingong Mall, aka JD.com.
The online retailer has already listed the new slate, which is rumored to feature a Kirin 980 processor and maybe even a 48 megapixel back camera. It looks and feels like a smaller device, maybe an 8 incher, but it may just be the format. The M6 doesn’t seem to sport any physical button on the front side and the Huawei logo is found on the bottom.
Bezels are narrower compared to the previous gen models and we get a singular selfie camera at the middle of the top border. The product is expected to drop with multiple sizes and versions. We’ve heard of an 8.4 inch model and 10.7 inch one with a resolution of 2560 x 1660 pixels. The smaller model could be powered by a 4500 mAh battery and the larger one by a 7500 mAh battery.
The MediaPad M6 was already certified in Russia, by the EEC, under the model number SCM-W09.
