Huawei MatePad Air 2026 tablet

For tablet buyers who need local space for large apps, downloaded media, and creative files, Huawei has introduced a higher-capacity MatePad Air 2026 configuration in China. The new version pairs 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage and is priced at CNY 6,299.

That capacity is not currently reflected in Huawei’s European MatePad Air 2026 specifications, which top out at 256GB. Huawei has not announced U.S. pricing, availability, or a launch timeline for the 512GB version.

The storage upgrade retains the MatePad Air 2026’s portability-focused hardware: a 5.3mm chassis, a 10,100mAh battery with 66W charging, and a six-speaker system. Its 12-inch OLED panel has a 2,800 × 1,840 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, specifications that should suit both fast-scrolling work and entertainment use.

  • Standard display version: up to 1,200 nits of brightness.
  • Soft Light version: up to 2,000 nits of brightness with an anti-reflective surface.
  • New high-capacity configuration: 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage for CNY 6,299.

Enjoy Edition creates a lower-priced tier

Huawei is also selling a MatePad Air Enjoy Edition in China, starting at CNY 4,499. Local promotions and subsidies can reduce its effective price to as low as CNY 3,499, though those offers are specific to the Chinese market.

The Enjoy Edition uses Huawei’s Kirin T93C processor, while the standard MatePad Air 2026 uses the Kirin T93B. That makes the Enjoy model more than a simple storage or price adjustment: Huawei is separating the two versions at the processor level as well. For now, the expanded lineup appears aimed at China, and international availability for either the Enjoy Edition or the 512GB model remains unconfirmed.
