Since HP acquired Palm months ago we’ve been hearing about the possibility of a webOS tablet quite a lot, but now we have some launch-related info, finally. It appears that HP’s webOS slate will be coming in March, according to BMO Capital Markets analyst Keith Bachman.

The info came up during a conference call with investors on December 13th and we have to mention that there were other analysts who in November pointed towards the same launch month. This will be the very first tablet to run webOS, a platform originally created for handsets. Till now, HP hasn’t been particularly strong on the slate side, only releasing the 9 inch Slate 500, running Microsoft Windows.

This is an enterprise/business product, fact shown by its high price, $799, while the webOS device might also be part of a niche of its own, maybe being bundled with a HP printer and special apps?
