HP TouchPad, the famous webOS tablet that got canned this summer now gets one last discount, probably as a swan song for the product. This info comes very quickly after the spotting on eBay of the 7 inch TouchPad Go tablet, that was actually never released to the mass market.

We remind you that the HP TouchPad original unit had a firesale a couple of months ago, with units flying off the shelves with a price tag of a mere $100. TechCrunch is claiming that HP will sell the 16GB and 32GB versions of the device on eBay with discounts, so they’ll reach price tags of $99 and $149 respectively. However, the promotion will only last one day.

The catch here is that these are refurbished models and not brand new ones. TechCrunch also mentions that HP employees will have the option of getting some of these tablets, before they hit eBay. In case you want to be online when the sale starts, know that it all begins on eBay, taking place in HP’s store. It begins on Sunday, December 11th at 6 p.m. These refurbished units come with a 90 day warranty.
