While HP already unveiled a productivity device big enough to upset a Surface or two, they also debuted today an 8 inch slate that has productivity at its core yet again. The device is called Envy Note 8 and it’s detailed below.

There’s a keyboard in the mix here, a Bluetooth accessory that can be used in portrait or landscape mode. There’s a special slot at the back that can store the entire slate when not in use. HP also includes a stylus in the mix and mentions that the aluminum keyboard offers a 1.5 mm travel for its buttons. The 8 inch screen has a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and inside the slate we find the Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor.

Battery life is rated at around 6 hours and other features to take notice of are the 2 megapixel webcam upfront and the 5 megapixel back shooter. Envy Note 8 will ship from November 8th, priced at $329 with the stylus included and $429 with the keyboard bundled. HP Envy Note 8 measures 7.7 mm in thickness, weighs 0.8 pounds and it’s also LTE ready.
