The latest rumors speak a lot about a Maxi iPad and a 12.2 inch Galaxy Note from Samsung, but other companies are already rushing into the big diagonal segment with Hannspree being the latest of them. They unveiled a massive 13.3 inch slate shown below.
The new model is dubbed Hannspad SN14t71 and it comes with an LED backlit panel with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Other specs include a 1.6 GHz quad core ARM processor, 1 GB of RAM and Android Jelly Bean. There’s also 16 GB of storage on board, a microSD card slot, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. Hannspree also provides a mini HDMI output so you can connect the slate to a TV set.
The device also gets USB On the go support, so you can plug a USB keyboard and mouse and operate them on the tablet. There are also cameras here, a 2 MP unit on the rear and a 0.3 MP unit on the front. In case you’re wondering about the cost, this model is priced at 199 quid, about half the price of an iPad.
