Haier debuted new HaierPad slates this month, the HaierPad Y1011 and Y1161 models, shown in pictures below. These are quite affordable models, priced at 199 and 249 euros. These models share a great deal of specs and they’re based on a quad core Intel Atom x5-Z8300 chipset (Cherry Trail).
There’s also 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. These can easily show their 2 in 1 nature, with a keyboard cover attached and that accessory seems to have been inspired by the Type Cover from the Surface models. Connectivity has great cover here, with mini HDMI, USB Type C port, microUSB, two USBs and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n.
Bluetooth 4.0 and a 2 MP front camera are also here. The screen is the one to separate the devices: 10.1 inch IPS HD for the HaierPad Y1011 and a 11.6 inch Full HD panel for the HaierPad Y1161. The smaller unit measures 8.7 mm in thickness and weighs 586 grams, also packing a 5000 mAh battery. The other unit has a 7000 mAh battery, 9 mm in thickness and weighs 760 grams.
The OS of choice is Windows 10 Home.
