Last week one of the major news scoops detailed the Foxconn CEO’s words, as he said that the company he runs is preparing to make the Apple HDTV. A news site called ChinaDaily quoted the CEO Terry Gou saying that Foxconn is making preparations for the rumored iTV. Now it was all denied…

At first, the Apple television set appeared as an idea in the Steve Jobs biography written by Walter Isaacson. The statement that Terry Gou made last week is now being denied by Foxconn, that says his words were actually lost in translation. Actually, he said that the Chinese firm is ready to make such products, in case customers want to make products like these. Foxconn makes 40% of the world’s electronic devices, so they’re certainly capable of making television sets. Also, Gou is known as a very secretive CEO, so he’ll never give up info like this.

Sony, HP, Microsoft and Apple are all Foxconn partners, so their secrets rest in their hands. That’s one of the reasons why we shouldn’t believe these rumors just yet. Just wait for a leaked picture or video to leak and then maybe we’ll believe that the Apple iTV is real.
