While we’re playing with the Cube i7 Remix and just finished its review, there’s now a new Cube model that totally has our interest sparked. It’s the Cube i9, a 12.2 inch Windows slate with an Intel Core M Skylake chipset.
This model is quite well specced, having 4 GB of RAM, as well as a 12.2 inch 1920 x 1200 pixel IPS panel. Cube i9 brings 128 GB of SSD storage, a built in kickstand and a detachable keyboard cover with a touchpad. This allows one to use the tablet like a notebook. The actual CPU version here is Intel Core m3-6Y30 Skylake, if you really want to get specific.
There’s an USB Type C connector in the mix, a microSD card slot, a 5000 mAh battery, plus a 5 megapixel back camera and a front 2 MP shooter. WiFi and Bluetooth cover up connectivity and the tablet uses a magnesium alloy case. Cube’s product will be sold in China this month, priced at $455, which is quite expensive for a Chinese tablet, but still a few benjamins cheaper than the Surface Pro 4 with Core M3 chipset.
