The list includes compact units, dual boot machines and more goodies, with big or small diagonal. 3 slates caught our eye and all of them are part of the “Hi” series. Interestingly, all of these models have keyboard attachments, which I recommend you also get for the full productivity experience. We’ve also played or tested some of them.
Chuwi Hi10 Plus
An instant classic, the Chuwi Hi10 Plus is a dual boot tablet, that runs both Windows 10 and Android 5.1. It packs a 10.8 inch Full HD screen, with an IPS panel, plus an Intel Z8350 1.44 GHz processor, with Intel HD Graphics Gen 8 and 4 GB of DDR3L RAM. The device comes with 64 GB of storage, of the eMMC variety, as well as a microSD card slot
At the back there’s a 2 MP shooter and at the front one with the same res. Connectivity wise, things are pretty modern, ranging from USB Type-C to micro HDMI, audio jack, WiFi and Bluetooth. Chuwi Hi12
We take things to a higher diagonal, with the Chuwi Hi12. This is a dual boot slate that we actually played with a while ago. It’s got a 12 inch IPS panel with a 2160 x 1440 pixel resolution and uses an Intel Z8350 processor clocked at 1.44 GHz. That’s accompanied by 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a 11.000 mAh battery.
Cameras include a 5 MP back shooter and a front 2 MP cam too. There’s WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 here and microUSB 2.0, as well as microHDMI. The news gets even better when you learn that you get a full USB 2.0 and 3.0 port too. All of those are available for $234.99.
Chuwi Hi13
Last, but certainly not least we’ve got a big one! It’s the Chuwi Hi13, which is almost an ultrabook. This device runs on Windows 10 and docks with a QWERTY keyboard, plus it integrates an IPS 13 inch screen with a 3000 x 2000 pixel resolution. The screen aspect is 3:2 and inside the machine there’s an Intel Apollo Lake N3450 1.1 GHz chipset, with Intel HD Graphics 500.
Specs continue with 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a main 5 MP camera. There’s also a front 2 MP shooter and the tablet provides a generous 10.000 mAh battery. There’s also WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and microHDMI, as per usual. An USB Type-C port keeps things modern here. Two full USB (2.0 and 3.0) ports are obviously included.
And lo and behold, it’s priced at just $339.
