Chuwi just unveiled a new tablet and interestingly this device caters to the needs of gamers. It’s the Chuwi Hi9 model we’re talking about here, a gaming device with Android Nougat on board and a compact format. It’s an 8.4 inch tablet with a generous resolution and specs that are detailed below.
The Chuwi Hi9 packs an 8.4 inch OGS fully laminated panel, with JDI technology and a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. It’s got 2.5D glass for extra seiness and gently curved edges. It’s also an ergonomic machine, easy to handle in those long hours of gaming. The tablet offers a quad core MediaTEk MT8173 processor and uses a PowerVR GX6250 processor, acompanied by 4 GB of RAM (LPDDR3) and 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.
There’s a microSD card slot in the mix too, plus a microUSB port, an audio jack and a 5000 mAh battery. Chuwi Hi9 should be available by the end of the current month, but we don’t yet have a price tag for it (details are promised here). What’s certain is that it should be pretty affordable. In the meantime Chuwi has an excellent offer, with the crowdfunded CoreBook device getting bumped up from 6 GB of RAM to 8 GB for free.
That happens as a thank you to customers, once the $100k funding threshold is reached. More details here.
