Lenovo is blurring the line between tablet and smart speaker further with the release of two new devices at CES 2019. They’re the Lenovo Smart Tab M10 and Smart Tab P10. They will go for preorder this month priced at $200 and $300 respectively.
Both devices come bundled with a Smart Dock, that features stereo 3 watt speakers and 3 microphones with far field voice detection. Both tablets have 10.1 inch 1920 x 1200 pixel displays and rely on the Snapdragon 450 octa core CPU. Lenovo Smart Tab P10 has a 400 nit display, up to 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of storage, but you can add more via microSD.
The battery is a 7000 mAh unit and we also have a main 8 MP camera and front 5 MP shooter. Lenovo Smart Tab M10 comes with a 320 nit display, up to 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, plus microSD and a 4850 mAh battery. There’s a main 5 MP camera and front 2 MP shooter. Both units come with USB Type-C 2.0 ports and 3.5 mm audio jacks, as well as pogo pins to connect to the dock.
The P10 also throws in a fingerprint reader. The two also have in common Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi support. Alexa is obviously in the mix and this can make great counter top companions in the kitchen.
