Back in August last year Acer unveiled the Switch 7 Black Edition, which was a world premiere: the world’s first fanless 2 in 1 notebook with pretty solid graphics. The device has a sexy brushed aluminum body and it comes with an 8th gen Intel Core i7 CPU. Now it’s ready to hit the shelves this month.
On board we find the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics and the whole machine weighs less than 1.15 kilograms. Switch 7 Black Edition features a brand new kickstand mechanism, which Acer alls the AutoStand and it can be auto-deployed and auto-retracted, making the single handed operation easier, just by adjusting the display like on a clamshell notebook.
Specs include a 13.5 inch IPS display with a 2256 x 1504 pixel resolution, with support for Windows Ink and Wacom EMR technology. The Acer Pen offers 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and there’s also tilt support to control the angle, width and stroke shading. You don’t even need to charge the brand new Acer Pen. Windows Hello authentication is also here, with a nifty optical under glass fingerprint scanner with POA (Power on Authentication).
The device sells in USA this month with a price starting at $1699. 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB of SSD storage are also thrown in for good measure. Connectivity includes WiFi ac 2X2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0, USB Type-C Gen 2, Thunderbolt 3 and Displayport.
