ASUS unveiled today what seems to be a worthy successor of the good old FonePad. The newcomer is dubbed ASUS ZenFone Go and also codenamed ZB690KG. It comes with a 6.9 inch screen with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, as well as entry level specs.
Those would fit the cheapest Lumia phone for example, but this time they’re placed on a big machine, very close to being a tablet. Anyway, we get here an iPad Mini 1 type resolution, which is 1024 x 600 pixels, a Snapdragon 200 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. There’s also an 8 megapixel back camera and a front 2 MP shooter, as well as a 3840 mAh battery.
The ASUS ZenFone Go 6.9 incher has Android 5.1 as the OS and it also brings support for WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GSM and has dual micro SIM card slots. Finally, it measures 8.85 mm in thickness and weighs 265 grams. We don’t have any info on the price tag, but it it’s more than $150, it’s not worth it.
