We’ve already reviewed the ASUS FonePad 7 a while ago and now it’s time for its upgraded version to grace us with its presence. It’s dubbed ASUS FonePad FE375CG, but I guess we’re going to call it “the new FonePad 7”. What we have here is the unofficial box of the device, but the accessories are official, so no worries here.

This model was announced at the end of July and it’s expected to cost around $177 at least on the Indian market. It’s a 64 bit 3G dual SIM tablet, that comes bundled with a charger and USB cable in the box. It uses an Intel Atom Z3560 quad core processor, clocked at 1.83 GHz, running Android 4.4 with the beautiful Zen UI. The screen on board is a 7 inch IPS LCD with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and anti fingerprint treatment.

We’ve got 1 GB of RAM inside, 8 or 16 GB of storage, a 5 MP main camera and secondary 2 MP shooter. The back came even does 1080p video capture and the speakers at the front of the slate are stereo ones. Finally, there’s GPS on board, dual microSIM slots, ambient light sensor and a 15 Wh battery, that provides 10.5 hours of functioning time. The product ships in black, white, red or gold and measures 9.8 mm in thickness.
