On the French market we don’t have a lot of smartphone and tablet makers, but Archos manages to stand out and today launches a new slate, a pretty attractive one. The tablet is called Diamond Tab, a 7.9-inch device with Android Lollipop on board that offers LTE connectivity alongside WiFi, all for a price that won’t make a hole in your pocket.

The tablet showed up above brings a 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution for the 7.9 inch panel, an octa-core Mediatek MT8752 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz (on 64-bit), 3 GB of RAM memory and 32 GB space of internal storage. Plus, we’re getting a microSD card slot in order to expand the memory available.

Archos Diamond Tab packs a 4.800 mAh battery, and comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing cam. Getting to the most interesting part – price, then you must know that Archos will sell this tablet for about $250 in the US, and this doesn’t sound bad at all.
