The folks of Crunchgear had fun with an Archos 5 Internet Tablet just the other day and published a couple of impressions on the new device and hands on pictures, for us all to see. This is an Android-powered device with a 4.8 inch touchscreen display, supporting a 800 x 480 pixel resolution.

Archos 5 is 5.5 inches wide, 0.25 inches thick and 3 inches tall, its design delivering a solid feeling, but all in all this is not a heavy device. There’s a kickstand at the back of the tablet, an embedded accelerometer, an App Store on board with Free, Search and Update tabs plus a pretty cool video player.

A 3.5mm audio jack also made the cut, as well as a built-in speaker, GPS software and the ability to get connected to the TV via an AV docking station. Archos 5’s specs list also includes 32GB storage, a microSD card slot for extra room, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, FM transmitter and receiver, plus a microphone.
