The Acer Aspire Switch 10 is a Windows 8 tablet, actually a hybrid, that packs an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor. It comes with a 10 inch display and can also be used as a laptop, thanks to a detachable keyboard dock.
The Aspire Switch 10 was introduced back in April and now it’s up for purchase in USA, sold by the Microsoft Store for $349 a pop. The device supports a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and comes with 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of SSD storage and up to 8 hours of battery life. The Acer Aspire Switch 10 runs Windows 8.1 32 bit version and also comes with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013.
The tablet weighs 1.3 pounds and with the keyboard added in the mix, it reaches 2.6 pounds, not bad for a portable notebook. The keyboard dock has a magnetic hinge that feels pretty resilient. You can also rely on the dock to use it like a sort of stand, by flipping the tablet around. Acer will also offer a 64 GB version of the device, with an optional keyboard dock with 500 GB of storage.
