Today is the big day of the Computex 2012 announcements and Acer already debuted the Windows 8-based slates Iconia W510 and W700. These models don’t have their specs published in full just yet, but what we know is that the W700 is a 11.6 inch Full HD, 10 finger multitouch touchscreen tablet.
This model comes with Dolby Home Theater sound and a very fancy cradle pictured below. You can also see it in action in the video after the break. The cradle is able to support tilting of up to 70 degrees while in landscape mode, for better viewing angles. It also goes to 20 degrees for more convenient touch angles. Acer Iconia W700 comes with 3 USB 3.0 ports and will be priced between $799 and $999, depending on the configuration. An optional keyboard will also be available when the device hits the stores.
Other stuff worth mentioning is the Intel Ivy Bridge processor inside and the Thunderbolt port on the left side, plus a miniature HDMI jack. This is just one product of a long day of unveilings at Computex 2012, taking place in Taipei. ASUS and Toshiba are also expected to make announcements, so stay tuned folks.
