A new Acer android tablet have just been seen at the FCC Center. Acer Iconia A1-830 comes with a 7.9-inch display, an Intel Atom processor and it will be available for just $149.



Unlike the previous 8-inch Acer tablet, this one packs a 1.6 GHzIntel Intel Atom Z2560 Clover Trail CPU instead ARM-based chips. Even if this isn’t the fastest Intel chip available on the market, it’s fast enought for mosts tasks and engery efficient enough to give up to 7.5 hours of battery life for the tablet.


Acer Iconia A1-830 has a 7.9 inch display, with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. We also have 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a 4000mAh battery, 5MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera, and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.

    Piece of crap. Asus has a better option with 3G onboard and same CPU. Also it’s a phone capable tablet. FonePad 7 or ME372CG. Higher resolution also. And same price in Euroland.
    I don’t understand some “big brand” companies. Why launch such a piece of junk? There are better alternatives, better specs and same price.
