Remember the 7 inch Huawei MediaPad tablet with Android 3.2? This was actually the first Honeycomb 3.2 device confirmed and now we also get a launch date for it: October, at least for Malaysia. The device will also reach the USA and China by this year’s end, if everything goes well.
This model will be priced at $598 SGD (Singapore currency), which means about $473 USD and pre-orders are already available in the Asian nation. We remind you that this slate uses a 7 inch LCD display with an impressive 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, supports HSDPA 14.4Mbps connectivity and also comes with a microSD card slot and 4GB of internal memory.
Also, it has a 4100 mAh battery, a dual core 1.2GHz Qualcomm CPU, WiFi and Bluetooth. Huawei MediaPad provides 720p HD video capture through a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and there’s also a 1.3 megapixel camera at the front for videocalling. There’s also a micro HDMI port on board, it seems.
