Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus isn’t a name that rings any bells, the product might actually interest you, especially if you’re familiar with the first Tab. This model is the successor to the very first Galaxy tablet from Samsung and its pics have been obtained by TmoNews somehow.

At first thought, we could see here a rebranded Galaxy Tab 7.7, but maybe it’s not the case. The Tab Plus keeps the 7 inch of its predecessor and adds TouchWiz in a “simple and fun” version according to the people who played with the slate. Another upgrade is the implementation of the 4G connectivity through HSPA+, so no LTE for you here, sorry.

T-Mobile will be carrying the product and there’s no launch date just yet and no pricing either. Honeycomb is the OS of choice, as you might have supposed and I can’t help but wonder if a mere upgrade to Android 3.0 for the original Galaxy Tab, with Touchwiz included will do just as good…
