Straight from Berlin, at IFA 2011 comes a nifty hands on video of the budget Android tablet we known as ViewSonic ViewPad 7e. This model was caught in action by Slashgear and we get to see the ViewSonic piece of gear in the video at the end of this article.
ViewPad 7e is a great idea, if you’re only now entering the tablet craze and you want a decent price. This is a 7 inch model with a 1024 x 60 pixel resolution, Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a simplistic single core 1GHz CPU, plus 512MB RAM. Port-wise, we have mini USB, micro HDMI and a charging port at the bottom of the slate.
Gingerbread is not alone on the tablet and it comes customized with the Viewscene 3D user interface. A 3MP camera will take care of photo taking, while a VGA cam upfront handles video calls. Aside from the old OS, there’s nothing pulling down this product. Well, maybe the plasticky and thick case seems a big dated and not so visually appealing…
