After defending the TouchPad from the first evil reviews, Jon Rubenstein, former Palm bigshot and now HP official was seen talking about the tablet’s flaws in a recent leaked internal memo. Well, now he was moved from the position of VP and general manager of WebOS global business to the role of executive senior VP of product innovation.
Meanwhile, Stephen DeWitt, who previously had Rubenstein’s present function is now taking over webOS. DeWitt has been a leader of the PSG American region at HP and he’ll be responsible for the future of webOS, including the engineering section plus research and development. Sales and marketing are also covered by the same man.
His team will deliver both consumer and enterprise solutions globally and DeWitt has a major achievement in his portofolio: increasing PSG’s profitability and share in the America region since 2008, when he arrived at HP. Now let’s see more webOS devices…
