HTC seems to be quietly updating its products these days. First it happened with the HTC ChaCha, that received an improved processor and now the HTC Flyer tablet gets an improved system performance tweak. The Taiwanese device maker will give a FOTA update and all you need to do is press OK to accept it via a data connection.
You can confirm the successful update by confirming the Build number. You simply go to the Home Screen, then Menu, Settings, About Phone, Software Information and Software Number. The new build is 2.00.405.3 and you are reminded to back up your data to avoid losing it. HTC also recommends using a WiFi hotspot or unlimited data plan, or else charges will apply, because of your data transfer.
