OnePlus Pad 3 owners are scheduled to join the ColorOS 17 rollout on November 18, placing the tablet in the middle of a six-device update wave planned for November 2026. The update is based on Android 17 and is positioned around smoother interface motion, memory and background-app management improvements, and AI-assisted tools for photos, documents, and task automation.
OnePlus says distribution will occur in waves, so the listed dates are rollout start points rather than guarantees that every compatible device will receive the update that day. Timing can vary by regional firmware and device version. The company has not confirmed separate U.S. availability dates for the devices in this schedule.
November ColorOS 17 rollout schedule
- November 5: OnePlus 13R
- November 17: OnePlus 12
- November 18: OnePlus Pad 3
- November 24: OnePlus Open
- November 26: OnePlus Nord 6
- November 26: OnePlus Nord CE 6
For the Pad 3, the update’s potential appeal is less about a single tablet-specific feature than its broader productivity and multitasking foundation. OnePlus highlights Living Flow Design for more fluid animations and transitions, alongside system-level management changes intended to improve memory use and background activity.
AI features may differ by device and region
ColorOS 17 also includes AI tools for photo editing, document organization, and automating certain tasks. AI Mind Pilot is described as a tool that can search and organize files, coordinate multiple operations, and assist with document preparation. OnePlus cautions that these features will not necessarily arrive at the same time on every model or in every market, and some AI capabilities have geographic restrictions.
The November schedule does not include the OnePlus Nord 5, despite questions from its owners about an update timetable. For Pad 3 users, November 18 is the date to watch, but the practical availability of ColorOS 17—and its full AI feature set—will depend on the software version and region of the individual tablet.
