Honor has officially launched the MagicPad 3 in China, introducing a powerful yet portable Android tablet that blends sleek design with flagship-level performance. Revealed alongside the new foldable Honor Magic V5, the MagicPad 3 stands out with a large 13.3-inch LCD display, an impressive 12,450 mAh battery, and a featherweight profile that pushes the limits of tablet design.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Qualcomm’s previous-gen flagship SoC, backed by up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. While the use of an LCD panel might seem like a step down from the OLED display on the MagicPad 2, this new iteration gains in other areas: the screen delivers a 165 Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 color coverage, 91% screen-to-body ratio, IMAX Enhanced certification, and up to 1,000 nits of brightness, positioning it firmly in the premium multimedia space.

One of the most compelling aspects of the MagicPad 3 is its build quality. The tablet measures just 5.79 mm in thickness and weighs 595 grams, making it exceptionally thin and light for a device with this much screen real estate. Honor has also refined the ergonomics with a new “double R corner” design, which aims to make the tablet easier to grip and handle.

Battery life is another standout feature. With its 12,450 mAh capacity and 66W fast charging, Honor claims up to 16 hours of continuous movie streaming. The battery is supported by Honor’s in-house E2 chipset, which enhances power efficiency for prolonged usage sessions.

On the imaging front, the MagicPad 3 offers a dual rear camera setup with a 13 MP main sensor and a 2 MP macro, while the front-facing 9 MP shooter handles video calls and selfies. Rounding out the spec sheet are Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, an eight-speaker sound system, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port with DisplayPort 1.2 support for external displays.

Pricing in China starts at CNY 2,999 (approx. \$418) for the 8 GB + 256 GB version, while the top-tier model with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage goes for CNY 4,199 (around \$586). There’s no global release info just yet, but the MagicPad 3’s combination of design, performance, and battery life positions it as a strong contender in the high-end Android tablet space.
