CES 2025 is in full swing these days and Lenovo has just introduced a new gaming tablet, the Legion Tab 2025 8.8 inch model. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a compact 8.8 inch screen with 165 Hz refresh rate.
The above mentioned CPU replaces the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC in the predecessor. The tablet shows a 2K resolution and provides 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, as well as up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. You can make use of Legion Space here, with access to customizable settings in Game Assistant and Game Modes, in order to optimize the gaming experience.
The new slate comes with a 14% larger Legion Coldfront Vapor Chamber, used to combat heat and increase gaming performance. A 6550 mAh battery is available here, with 45 W fast charging. The screen is a LCD, just so you know, so no love for OLED this time around. The screen does offer some nice extras, like DC Dimming, up to 500 nits of brightness and HDR10.
There’s also Android 14 with ZUI 16.1 and 3 years of OS updates, plus 4 years of security updates. At the back we find a 13 megapixel main camera, while upfront sites an 8 MP shooter. There are 2 speakers here and everything is crammed within a 7.79 mm waistline, plus 350 gram weight.
The price is $499.99 and the product starts selling in January 2025.
