Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G has just arrived and already we’re prepping for a new version of the Tab S6. It’s the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, which has just appeared in the benchmark GeekBench and also got its Bluetooth certification. We find out more about it below.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is already a pretty powerful tablet, but also rather pricey. That’s why a Lite model would be a good idea. Bluetooth SIG has certified said model and there’s no codename to play guessing games with, as the title “Galaxy Tab S6 Lite” appears in official documents. Aside from that name, there’s also the codename “SM-P615”, which also appeared in GeekBench last year. It was back then rumored to be a slate with an S Pen stylus.
Judging by that GeekBench appearance followed by another one recently, we should get 4 GB of RAM here, an Exynos 9611 CPU and Android 10. That same CPU was spotted on the Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A51, so it feels familiar. It’s probably going to sport a 10.5 inch screen, but I’m not sure that the CPU can move as many pixels as the Snapdragon 855 did. It will probably be a Super AMOLED affair and we expect a single back camera instead of two.
I hope we’re wrong about the CPU since I encountered lag recently on a Galaxy A51…
