The latest Apple event also included a new iPad, of the affordable variety. The new low cost model come with a Smart Keyboard, but for those looking for alternatives, Logitech has already come up with a few accessories. Meet the Logitech Slim Folio and the Rugged Folio.
These cases are tailor made for the 10.2 inch iPad, which by the way has the same CPU as the last year model and costs $329. Both cases offer protection for the device and also large and comfy keyboards. Rugged Folio comes in October priced at $140, while the Slim Folio will debut in November priced at $100. Rugged Folio is meant for those working in tougher environments.
It comes with a kickstand and a shock absorbent technology, that Logitech claims exceeds military standard drop tests. It has spill and dirt resistant keys and connects with one click via the Smart Connector of the iPad.
Slim Folio is a bit lighter and protects the device from bumps and scrapes. It provides a typing angle and it’s held in place with magnets, so you can easily type on your lap or desk. There’s even a special loop, so you can hold the Logitech Crayon readily available. Or it can hold the Apple Pencil, of course. This accessory also has a row of iPadOS shortcut keys, making it easier to complete tasks.
Slim Folio’s battery has got replaceable coin cell batteries, that can last for up to 4 years.
