They’ve been calling it “The Black Friday of summer” and it’s just that basically. Amazon Prime Day is upon us and this year it takes place on both July 15th and the 16th. It includes $30 tablets and more goodies, detailed below.
Amazon even cheated its own price cuts by a day and started offering goodies on the 14th even. Those who have an Amazon Prime membership can pic up a Fire Tablet for a mere $30 and a Fire TV Stick for just $15. By the way Fire Stick now supports YouTube, as far as I know.
The Amazon Echo Dot is just $22 in this time frame. The $30 tablet is an Amazon Fire 7, which if bought in a two pack sets you back $50. We’re talking about a 7 inch tablet here, with 16 GB of storage, a quad core 1.3 GHz CPU and the promise of up to 7 hours of reading, browsing, watching video and more. Alexa is also here, in a hands free version and you also get 1 GB of RAM, a 2 MP front and back camera, plus dual band WiFi.
