Ever since VAIO’s separation from Sony, we’ve been waiting for a sign of new products to come. We’ve come to know the VAIO Z Canvas 2 in 1 device once it was announced, but today the product gets ready for preorders apparently.

This is a Windows 10 slate, priced steeply, at $2.199 which is quite typical for a VAIO, if we’re being honest. VAIO Z Canvas 2 in 1 debuted in February with the VAIO Z and it brings a 12.3 inch display, with a resolution of 2560 x 1704 pixels. It also comes with a keyboard and stylus, so it can be considered sort of a rival for the Microsoft Surface Pro tablets, or even the iPad Pro.

Its features include an Intel Core i7 Haswell processor, plus up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Windows 10 Pro is preinstalled on this package and preorders are available right now on VAIO’s website, with a shipping date of October 5th. VAIO has been sold by Sony to a Japanese investment firm quite a few months ago and remained focused on the Japanese market, but recently we’ve seen movements toward the States.

VAIO Z Canvas can be ordered in USA by the way.
