Finnish Nokia isn’t the only company launching tablets out of the Nordic country. There’s also a model called Eve T1, that comes from Finland and it runs Windows 8.1 on an 8 inch display format.
This is not your average cheap 8 inch sub $200 tablet with Windows, but rather a solidly built device. The packaging it comes with is worthy of an iPad, according to people who handled the slate and it’s a premium and modern box. Eve T1 comes with an 8 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, a back 5 MP camera and a matte black textured casing with very nice feeling.
The back of the case is a fingerprint magnet and on board we also find 32 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a 4300 mAh battery. Folks who tested the slate claim they’ve easily reached 2 days of usage with this device (light to medium usage). The brain here is an Intel Bay Trail Z3735F processor, clocked at 1.8 GHz. Games and document editing both happen smoothly here.
The product can be bought here for 159 euros.
