The Blu Life Pure XL is yet another one of those devices based on a Chinese handset. The starting point here was Gionee Elife 7, that has also arrived on our test table as the Allview X1 Xtreme. This newcomer is virtually identical to the Gionee Elife E7, as shown below.

The Life Pure XL packs a 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 pixel display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a Snapdragon 800 CPU, a quad core 2.2 GHz unit with Adreno 330 GPU. There’s also a 16 megapixel camera on board with 1.34 micron pixels, which means they’re bigger than the ones of the Galaxy S5. The camera sensor measures 1/2.3 inches and we’ve also got an 8 megapixel front facing shooter with autofocus.

There’s a 2500 mAh battery in the mix and Android 4.2, as well as 32 GB of storage. The product will be sold in a 3 GB RAM/32 GB storage version at $399 and a 16 GB/ 2 GB RAM one for $349. The higher end Blu Life Pure XL debuts today exclusively on Amazon in black and on May 9th in white. The 16 GB one comes in June.
