Acer is relatively famous for its budget tablets and now we’ve got a new one to check out. This is the Acer Iconia One 7 model, an entry level unit that’s pictured below.
The product runs Android and tries to improve some aspects of the Iconia B1 and the Iconia A1. We get a 7 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display here, 1 GB of RAM and a dual core 1.5 GHz processor. The identity of the chipset is a VIA WM8880. This device does HD playback, both on screen and via a micro HDMI port, apparently.
The wireless connectivity available here is WiFi and we’ve got no 3G, no Bluetooth and no GPS. There’s a 0.3 megapixel front camera here for video calls and a 1.9 megapixel rear camera, that’s underwhelming for pics. The Acer Iconia One 7 has a price tag of around $115. It’s currently available in Taiwan alone.
