During a press event held in New Delhi today, Dell India debuted its latest family of slates, the Dell Venue models. The company launched these two Windows-based models after a series of Android slates a while back. The newcomers are the Venue 8 Pro and Venue 11 Pro and they’re detailed below.
Dell targets companies with this move and working environments with a “bring your own device” policy. The new models are based on Windows 8.1 and they offer a mix of inspired design, good performance and good responsiveness. Both models come with Dell Advanced Exchange Warranty for “seamless an hassle free troubleshooting”.
The Dell Venue 8 Pro relies on a quad core Intel Atom CPU, while the Dell Venue 11 Pro is actually a 2 in 1 model with the power of an ultrabook. It packs a 10.8 inch Full HD screen, a swappable battery and the ability to snap onto full size keyboard or desktop dock options. There’s also special Dell data encryption for these models and you’re covered on the front of image capture by an 8 megapixel shooter on the big model and a 5 MP one on the smaller unit.
The 8 Pro unit debuts in February priced at INR 26,499, while the other unit doesn’t have a store date yet.
