Talk about multi mode devices! First we’ve got ASUS with their Transformer Book Duet and now Toshiba goes for a 5 in 1 device. A year ago it was cool to launch a 2 in 1 hybrid and now we’re entering 5 in 1 terrain. This is a transforming device with a slick magnesium alloy case, that makes it look like a MacBook.

The device has a 13.3 inch touchscreen and the laptop can transform into a tablet obviously, by pushing the display to the back, just like in the case of the Lenovo Yoga line. The next 3 formats are the interesting ones, made possible thanks to a detachable keyboard and some extra metal attached to the screen’s hinge.

That bit of metal acts like a stand and integrates stereo Harman Kardon speakers. There’s also a “canvas” mode included, where the laptop is lifted from the tablet at an angle, making it ideal to draw in this position. The device offers an integrated stylus and a digitizer, so graphics artists will be happy.

This device also has a special “Presentation/TV” mode that props the display upright. How’s this for originality?
