Well, here we are with an iPad Mini clone coming straight from Asia, the Teclast TPad P89, pictured below, but the really interesting aspect here is the CPU inside, an Intel one.
I still wonder how and why Intel partners up with the smaller OEMs and what their deal is with such companies. How do they feel about pirated software or maybe warranty issues or exploding chargers? Keep in mind I’m not accusing Teclast of that, but once you work with a less known OEM, such things may happen.
Anyway, this iPad Mini clone seems pretty bulky, it packs a 7.9 inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and a dual core Intel Z2580 processor, as well as 1 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB of storage. There’s a 5 megapixel rear camera available here and a 2 megapixel shooter as well, plus a 4600 mAh battery. Android is the OS of choice and I’m curious to see what other device Teclast has prepared for us.
