Nikon is getting into the cameraphone game and they chose Chinese company BBK to deliver the novelty. This brand was already known for the ultrathin Vivo X3 handset, measuring just 5.75 mm and now they’re preparing another interesting device.
The newcomer is a phablet with a twisting camera, that reminds me of an older Nokia N series unit. The new Vivo model integrates a camera with a CMOS 1/1.7 inch sensor, that takes 20 megapixel shots and offers F2.0 aperture. Nikon will supply the device with a pro SLR chip, dubbed Expeed E1-158 1051 200 M.
It appears that the official images of the phablet have already been pulled from the web, but one thing’s for sure: there’s a device with Android and Nikon camera tech on board coming and it’s going to be very thin as well.
