Believe it or not there’s an AMD-based tablet out there, one with a huge 12 inch display and Windows 8 on board. Mouse Computer is behind this project, with a device called LuvPad WN1100, that you can check out below.
It’s actually a 11.6 inch tablet with the AMD Z60 APU at 1 GHz as the brain and a 500 euro price tag, which is not bad at all. The product supports a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and the above mentioned CPU is a dual core one, in case you’re worried about that. We also get 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, 128 GB of SSD storage, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi.
There’s a microUSB port and microHDMI present, plus you will be able to find this model in stores in a version with Windows 8 Pro for the business users. The debut of the device takes place next week and just so you know, the battery of the LuvPad WN110 is a 4700 mAh unit, that promises an underwhelming 5.5 hours of functioning time, so that’s the catch here.
