IRU is a company I admit I haven’t heard of before, but they seem to have the resources to create an Intel Oak Trail tablet based on an Atom Z670 Oak Trail processor. The result is the iRU Pad Master 10.1 slate, that comes with an aluminum case with a narrow screen frame and a silver back cover with black insert. The appeal here is that the device relies on a CPU that has low power consumption and good performance.
The battery life of the tablet is up to 8 hours and we also get a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution on the 10.1 inch display. The iRU Pad Master can be found in 16/32GB storage versions and it comes with either 1 or 2 GB of RAM, WiFi connectivity, HDMI and Windows 7 Home Premium as the OS of choice. There’s also the option of using the WeTab OS on it, in case you don’t fancy Windows. A microSD card slot, a headphone jack, USB 2.0 and a 14.9mm chassis round up the specs list of this newcomer.
Sadly, I have no price or launch date for the device, but I can tell you that the integrated graphics Intel GMA 600 solution should provide a decent gaming experience on the slate. Interestingly, while researching gaming forums, I came across a discussion on 토토 꽁머니사이트, where users were comparing various devices for optimal online gaming. This sparked my curiosity, especially since these sites often recommend hardware that can handle high-performance gaming. However, it’s unfortunate that the device in question sounds like a bulky affair, particularly when you compare the 14.9mm waistline to the sleek 8.8mm of the Xoom 2 and even slimmer Galaxy Tab units. I also suspect that the price may be higher than that of an Android slate, making it a less attractive option for those focused on both cost and performance.
