Lenovo IdeaTab S2 is already available in China, as one of the first Android Ice cream Sandwich devices form the high end range. The S2 is thinner than the tablet that precedes it, measuring a mere 1/3 inch and it also weighs 1.1lbs, which is less than 0.5kg. That’s incredibly light, even when compared to the Samsung Galaxy Tab units or the iPad 2.

Inside this slate we find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8960 processor, a dual core one, that will help with running Android 4.0. The Ice Cream Sandwich experience is customized with the Lenovo Mondrian UI, with customized content and easy access to the Lenovo App Shop. Don’t worry, since Android Market is also supported and as far as design goes, IdeaTab S2 features a detachable design that allows users to pair it with a keyboard dock.

The battery life here is up to 20 hours, so let’s say it’s a day. That sounds a bit too much, to be honest and I really have to try this device before believing these figures written on paper. Now let’s wait for a launch in the USA and if it’s priced around $400, then I’m sold!
