Yes, ZTE also makes tablets, not just good looking Axon phones. They’ve just debuted a new slate called the ZTE Grand X View 2, available in Canada from today. The device has entry level specs and it runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
This is an 8 inch device, with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and relying on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad core CPU, clocked at 1.3 GHz. It also offers 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. There’s a 5 MP back shooter and a 2 MP front camera, plus a 4620 mAh battery. The Grand X was actually a series of phones, so that’s an interesting evolution of the series.
The Grand X View 2 is the follow-up to the 2015 Grand X View, that came to Bell and Virgin in Canada as well, sporting some pretty solid specs. It had a Snapdragon 615 processor, a Full HD screen and 4G LTE compatibility. It also had a radiofrequency issue, that was corrected from the consumer to the sales units. The Grand X View 2 may have LTE, although that has yet to be confirmed.
The Snapdragon 210 allows this support, so it’s likely there’s 4G action. Bell is going to offer the product for $139, in case you’re tempted.
